High School Memories

I remember Hemet High School! The high school was located on Devonshire and Hemet Junior HIgh was across the street. The High School and the Junior High shared many facilities such as the cafeteria, Home Economic classrooms, Shop classrooms, and the gym. We also shared principals! Our class times were coordinated, meaning that we shared the bells and passing periods.  However, we didn't share P.E. dressing rooms. The Junior High's dressing rooms were on the south side of the street and the High School's dressing rooms were in the basement of the High School. Once the new gym was built on the north side of the campus, the girls got exclusive use of the old gym, while the boys moved to the new gym. We really were one big family!  Chris Howard Fuller '61
